Born Michael Joseph Jackson on August 29th 1958, the seventh child of the Jackson family was already a superstar at the tender age of 11. This was to be the start of a magnificent rise to fame and budding solo career that earned him the nickname, " The King of Pop ", a name that he more than lived up to over the next 30 years. Even today, his 1982 album " Thriller " is the best-selling album of all time worldwide (many of his other records also becoming classics), and he contributed heavily to popular culture with his signature dance moves and individual dress-sense. He racked up many industry awards, and has been a well-respected member of the music community for many years now. Unfortunately, we lost The King of Pop to cardiac arrest on the 25th of June 2009, age 50.
Look & Listen respectfully say a fond farewell to arguably one of the greatest performers of our time, the likes of which we will never see again.
